Kimberly Gandy, MD, PhD, Founder & CEO

Kim is a physician/scientist and entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in healthcare, her clinical and scientific career including institutions such as Duke and Stanford. Having been a leader in her field of transplantation, she has led international committees in translational medicine and been selected by her peers as one of the nation’s top doctors. Having cared for patients in transplantation and congenital heart disease, she has a deep understanding of the importance and issues involved in motivating patients to be adherent.

Ashish Kumar, MBA, COO

Ash Kumar is a seasoned executive experienced in delivering growth strategy and business transformation to companies on both the global and local levels. Ash has delivered global business and technology transformation to organizations like BHP, Downer, and Uniting Care in Australia. He has also grown smaller organizations like NVoke Partners and MURAconnect to multimillion dollar enterprises. A Harvard Alum with a history of training in both engineering and business management, Ash has designed programs that have received global awards and recognition.

Mary Topping, MBA, Director of Market and Content Strategy

Mary’s mission is to enable clients and their customers to reach their full potential. She has 15 years of operational and strategic experience in payer and provider settings, including Kaiser Permanente. She’s designed and implemented Medicare insurance products, improved revenue cycle processes, built business cases and facilitated team innovation in care delivery. As a communicator she has created content that educates, grows brand awareness and inspires change. Mary has raised nearly $2 billion in the capital markets for state agencies by developing new and complex transactions that expanded opportunities for the customers they serve.

Paul Barach, MD, MPH, (Maj.) Director of Population Health and International Relations

Paul Barach, MD, MPH, (Maj.) has more than 25 years of experience as a practicing physician and physician executive.  Having trained at the Massachusetts General Hospital, with an extensive background in public health and health policy, he is a Clinical Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Lecturer and Senior Advisor to Dean, Jefferson College of Population Health; and Visiting/Honorary  Professor University of Queensland, Australia; Sigmund Freud University, Austria, and the National Cancer Center, Korea. Paul serves as clinical advisor to the World Health Innovation Summit leading on the US SDG3, and serves on the Board of the International Academy for Design and Health. His work has led to over $14,000,000 in federal competitive grant funding. He has published more than 300 scientific papers and 5 books.


 

Jos Domen, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer

Jos has over 30 years of experience in oncology, immunology and cell biology. Having trained at the University of Amsterdam and Stanford University he has run labs focused on stem cell biology, cell death and tolerance induction for solid organ grafts at Duke University, the University of Arizona, Medical College of Wisconsin and University of Missouri Kansas City/Children’s Mercy Hospital. In addition, he has been a staff scientist for Cellerant Therapeutics. His work has been supported by NIH as well as various other sources. He has published extensively and publications he authored or co-authored have been cited more than 7,000 times.

Virginia Savin, MD, Clinical Support

Virginia Savin, MD. Clinical Support Senior Nephrologist with over 40 years of clinical experience in nephrology, dialysis, and transplantation. Has been Principal Investigator in multiple ground breaking NIH funded clinical trials in diabetes mellitus and renal and cardiovascular disease. Special interest in patient empowerment.

Pippa Simpson, PhD, Biostatistics

Senior professor that has been the head of the Statistics Department at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin for over a decade. Has been performing NIH funded research for decades.
